Private Training
You and your dog will benefit from private training if...
- you can't make it to a group class because of a hectic schedule
- you prefer a one-on-one approach
- your dog is shy or fearful
- your dog is uncomfortable around other dogs
- your dog has problems concentrating and is very easily distracted
- you are uncomfortable in a group environment
- you have limited mobility or special needs
- your goal is to train in certain types of environments
Private training can take place at your residence or at the school depending on the type of training.
Training sessions are 1/2 an hour to 45 minutes long. They loosely follow the structure of the group classes but have room to be tailored to the dog and owner. Sessions often involve attention and confidence building as well as anything else the owner and dog would like to work on.
Private training is the most flexible, convenient, and personalized method of training. However you do not benefit from the group atmosphere, which include socialization with other dogs and people.
