Life Skills - Level 2

A great way to build on the skills you learned in level 1 or puppy class.

In level 2 things get a little more challenging and a lot more fun as you and your dog push yourselves to new levels of training. Level 2 introduces more formal obedience but focuses on things you will use in real life. Level 2 takes what was learned in Level 1 or Puppy Class and builds on it.

Some of the things you and your dog will learn are:

• Tricks such as; high five, shake a paw, jump through a hoop, the bow and more!
• The recall with added distractions.
• The recall with a sit in front of you, then a ‘finish’ (your dog walks behind you and back in heel position)
• We will lengthen the stay to 1 and 2 minutes in the sit and down. We will also add more distance and distractions to the stay: We ‘proof’ it to real life situations.
• We will introduce the ‘heel’ command and work on walking your dog in the ‘heel position’ (beside you). We proof it for real life with turns, speed changes, and distractions.
• There will be games, circuits, and obstacle courses to practice the skills you and your dog are learning.
• Some agility equipment is also introduced!
